Rheingold Butter Pecan Toffee squares are a decadent and elegant gift. Dilettante's Butter Toffee is 50% butter - exceptionally high for a toffee, making it uniquely tender. A portion of the toffee center is cooked to at higher temperatures giving a delicate burnt sugar flavor to each candy piece. This rich toffee is topped with sweet butter and cream notes to balance the burnt sugar flavor and fine pecan oils.
Our eight piece toffee gift box contains a variety of gourmet chocolate coatings. We hand dip each rich toffee center in premium blends of milk, white and dark chocolate. Rheingold Toffee was created by Dana Davenport, by commission of the Pacific Northwest Wagner Festival, to be the signature confection celebrating the 1981 performance of the opera Der Ring des Nibelungen. Here at Dilettante, third-generation Master Chocolatier Dana Taylor Davenport uses master formulas that are selected from the notebooks of his grandfather, Earl Remington Davenport and his great-uncle, Julius Rudolph Franzen, Master Chocolatier and Pastry Chef to the crowned heads of Europe.
Our Rheingold Toffee was created by our Master Chocolatier, Dana Davenport, by commission of the Pacific Northwest Wagner Festival, to be the signature confection celebrating the 1981 performance of the opera Der Ring des Nibelungen. It is an English style toffee made with a 50% butter recipe, making it uniquely tender.
