Seattle Gourmet Foods is the exclusive manufacturer of many of the Pacific Northwest's highest quality specialty food products. These gourmet items are all made in our plant in Kent, Washington, U.S.A. and sold under the brand names of the companies from which they originated. Not only do we produce and sell our own brands but we do private label and contract work for a diverse range of customers from specialty gift stores to national chains. We use the finest, freshest ingredients and handcraft each and everyone one of our award-winning items to perfection.

The company was founded in 1993 as -Frederick's Fine Chocolates.- Frederick's Fine Chocolates was created to preserve and continue the rich tradition of candy making. Shortly thereafter in 1994, we acquired -Maury Island Farms-, a regional manufacturer of preserves and fruit topping. The next year, we bought -Paradise Farms- of Honolulu Hawaii, a producer of chocolates, taffies and sugars with an "aloha" flair. 1999 was the year we acquired -Buckeye Beans and Herbs-, a Washington State producer of the Northwest's finest soup, chili and corn bread mixes.

Our growing clientele of specialty food retailers encouraged us to expand our manufacturing facility to produce chocolate coated fruits, nuts and espresso beans for private label customers. In 2000, we officially changed our name to Seattle Gourmet Foods to more accurately describe who we are.

2002 was a very busy year. We purchased the wholesale manufacturing side of Totally Chocolates' hollow molded and novelty chocolate items. This enabled us to expand our repertoire of chocolate goodies to better meet our customers' needs and add many more new customers. -Coy's Country- and -Quinn's- were also acquired in this year. Coy's Country offered a wonderful selection of ready to bake cookies, scones, cakes and cobblers—all beautifully packaged in a variety of gift bags for different seasons and occasions. Quinn's helped diversify our product offerings even more—with salsas, tangy jellies and sauces- blending unique flavors from both the Southwest and the Northwest.

Our cookie operation was initiated in 2003 with the acquisition of -Biringer's Farm Fresh- Tea Cookies and Jams. We bake these fabulous cookies in a variety of flavors with distinctive packaging. These cookies received National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NAFST) awards for four separate years.

In 2004 we added -Anna's Gourmet- and become the exclusive distributor of -St. Jean's- seafood pate's, the finest shelf stable seafood pate available. Anna's Gourmet's primary product line, honey, added significantly to our all natural product offerings. Straight from the hives of Eastern Washington and attractively bottled and packaged, we have honey for everyone! Anna's also included Snoqualmie Falls and Salish Lodge pancake mix, oatmeal, syrup and seasonings.

2005 marked the year we acquired -Innovative Cookies-, producer of the unique Croccante™ –almond Florentine cookie, Breakfast Gem™ and other shelf stable cookie and bar items. We also expanded our client base to include specialty coffee bars throughout the U.S.

We continue to diversify and add product lines that meet the highest gourmet quality standards. At the same time, we remain dedicated to using the finest, freshest ingredients and handcrafting each and every one of our award-winning items to perfection.
