Great Food For the Fall & Winter Semester!
This is such a wonderful, nutritious meal for students who are struggling to cook and struggling to eat healthy foods. It is easy to make and allows the individuals to get creative and add their favorite vegetables. It is not only healthy, but is also a very economical means of getting protein, fiber, and vitamins. Excellent for crock-pot cooking. I give this product five stars!
Our New Favorite
I have never been a fan of beans, except green beans. However, my son and daughter-in-law are enthusiasts so figured I would buy the Buckeye Bean Soup mix and cook for them. Followed the recipe except we replaced the ham pieces with a large ham bone with meat still on it and tossed a bay leaf in the pot. Usually with mixes, I end up adding more spices. The mix seasonings were perfect. Do not think the added bay leaf was even necessary. The entire family including 5-year-old great-grandson chowed down. Also prepared the Buckeye corn bread to go with it. Yum! Our family has a new favorite cold weather meal.

Veggie Bean Soup-delicious
Today is first time I made this bean soup. Easy to make. I added zuchini, carrots, celery and green onions. Very flavorful and delicious. Will purchase again!
Versatile and yum, yum, yummy!
I cannot say enough good things about this soup kit. It is easy to make, a great way to spend a cold, rainy/snowy afternoon (since the soup needs to simmer for 4 hours) and just so flavorful! I used red skinned potatoes (2 small) and a chili-spice blend of canned tomatoes as well as a low-salt can of tomatoes. For some added flavor, at the last hour of simmering, I added some small, peeled organic baby carrots. Just delicious! Some crusty multi-grain bread with a bit of cheese on the side added to the experience. Very, very economical, hearty and wonderfully healthy!
