Pacific Northwest beekeepers raise bees that pollinate fireweed blossoms, then harvest the sweet fireweed honey for you to enjoy. Make Anna's Fireweed Honey Bear a tradition in your family!
Product shelf life is reliant on storage conditions and is highly variable. Our honey products should be stored under cool, dry environments and in a humidity-controlled location. Industry standards for honey products, when stored in optimal conditions, is 18 months from the date of packaging.
What is crystallization? Crystallization is when honey takes on a semi-solid crystallized state due to high sugar content. This is completely natural and does not affect the quality of the honey. Crystallization is not an indicator of shelf life. The rate at which honey will crystallize is based on several factors including floral notes, moister content and storage conditions. In order to bring your honey back to a liquid state, just gently warm in water until the honey returns to it’s liquid state. We guarantee properly stored honey will remain in a liquid state for 90 days.
Washington State's premiere honey company, Anna's Honey produces five varieties of gourmet raw honey featuring flavors derived from Pacific Northwest floral plants.
The original company, Anna's Gourmet, founded by Arlene Page in 1980, was named after Arlene's great grandmother who settled in the Kittitas Valley region of Washington State during the 1880's. Anna's Honey products contain no artificial preservatives or additives. We use only farm fresh, hive-ripened, 100% pure US Grade A raw honey.
At Anna's Honey, pure honey is filtered at 200 microns which lets the natural pollens come through to give you a rich, smooth texture. With over 30 years of experience, Anna's Honey believes that leaving the bee parts and wax remnants in the honey is detrimental to the purity of the product. The wax capping serves as a protective barrier from impurities getting into the honey while in the hive. So, during production the wax capping is removed and melted down for beeswax.
Anna's honey is carefully tested for purity and retains low moisture for a thicker consistency. Anna's Honey uses this process to give you a richer, creamier, and satisfying natural honey.

Not for everyone
I love honey, and when a friend suggested Fireweed honey, I thought, why not. If you aren't familiar with honey, its a varied in taste as there are snowflake patterns. And I am more of a spring clover type of gal. However my Husband thinks this is the best honey he has ever tasted. I would liken the taste more toward molasses. It definitely has a more full bodied taste. Which is amazing, but not my favorite. If you like a stronger taste....grab this one!
Best there is.
I have been buying Fireweed honey for the past 30+ years and love it. Used to be able to buy it at the Thorp Fruit Stand on my way to Seattle from Spokane.
My father was a beekeeper and this is one of my favorite honeys. In fact, I'm going to have some right now!
Best Honey ever!
Seattle Gourmet Foods provides the best service I've experienced.
